What I really appreciated was the freedom we were given to figure things out on our own. You’re assigned a task, but you get to decide how to approach it. If you get stuck, colleagues are always ready to help, but you do need to take the initiative. That approach is something I still see in my current role. You’re not handheld, but there’s always room for brainstorming and collaboration.
What makes MST Group attractive to me is the open atmosphere and the variety of projects. During my internship, for example, I got to spend a week working on-site at a client and occasionally helped out in the workshop. I really enjoy that variety; it ensures you gain experience in different areas.
My tip for new colleagues or interns? Talk to everyone, get to know people, and actively ask for feedback. Come up with a proposal for how you want to tackle something and discuss it with your colleagues. Everyone here is passionate about their work and happy to help you."

"After studying Engineering at HZ University, I found MST Group through the internship office for my graduation internship. My assignment was to research the further development of a machine that unloads animal feed at farms. This involved conducting in-depth research on the current machine, performing force calculations, and testing a new setup. It was very satisfying to successfully complete the project and see that my work continued to be used in further developments after my internship.
What I really appreciate about MST Group is the freedom and responsibility you’re given. You’re not handheld, but if you need help, colleagues are always there for you. During my internship, it was expected that you take initiative, such as seeking guidance when you encounter challenges. That independence aligns well with how MST operates, with Lean Engineering as the foundation.
What makes MST Group attractive to me is the variety in the work. No two days are the same, and I love that I’m not stuck behind a desk all the time. You can really express what you enjoy, and they listen to you. I’m also drawn to the open and informal atmosphere. MST Group feels like a family business, which makes working here feel personal.
My tip for new colleagues or interns? Don’t wait passively – speak up if you need guidance and come forward with ideas. Nothing gets dismissed out of hand here, and everyone is open to input!"
